Meu nome é Rose Machado. Sou Barista há 19 anos — e posso dizer, com toda certeza, que essa profissão me transformou de maneiras que nenhuma outra poderia.
Antes de me encontrar no universo dos grãos, passei pelo Design de Moda e pela publicidade, onde tive minha própria revista por 8 anos.
A arte sempre foi o fio condutor da minha vida — na fotografia, na pintura em óleo, nas esculturas em frutas. Mas foi atrás de uma xícara que tudo ganhou outro sentido.
Vivo no Japão, um país que me amo profundamente e que me oferece, a cada dia, uma nova forma de enxergar o café, as pessoas e o mundo. Daqui, acompanho de perto uma das culturas cafeeiras mais refinadas do planeta e isso alimenta cada palavra que escrevo aqui.
Ao longo desses 19 anos, tive o privilégio de ensinar e compartilhar esse universo com quase 600 alunos. Cada um deles me ensinou algo também.
O blog Entre Cafés & Viagens nasceu justamente desse vínculo, da vontade de continuar conectada a eles e a todos que, assim como eu, são apaixonados por café de verdade.
As viagens fazem parte dessa história de um jeito muito especial. Muitas delas aconteceram por causa dos Campeonatos Mundiais de Barista, que me levaram a países e culturas que jamais esquecerei. Viajar, para mim, não é um luxo — é uma necessidade da alma.
Por aqui, você vai encontrar experiências reais: sobre café, sobre o Japão, sobre os cantos do mundo que já percorri e os que ainda estão por vir. Sem fórmulas prontas. Com muito amor pelo que faço.
